Find a Clinical Trial

Select a category from the drop-down box to search for clinical trials or research studies that are currently recruiting. If you are interested in participating in one or more of these research studies, be sure to write down the following information that you will need to provide when you call or e-mail:
  • IRB number (4-digit number next to the clinical trial name)
  • Condition studied, for example “epilepsy”
To join a clinical trial, submit an e-mail to or call our research team at 202-476-2200 to begin the process of determining if your child qualifies for a research study. A researcher from Children's Research Institute will respond to your query within 2 business days.

If you have a concern about the science of a specific research study or clinical trial and the steps involved, you have the right to talk about it with the Principal Investigator of your child’s study. If you have concerns about how the research is being done, and your rights as a research subject, you can talk to a professional who is independent of the research study (he/she is not part of the research study team) through the manager of the Office for the Protection of Human Subjects at 301-565-8470 or the Research Subject Advocate, Tomas Silber, MD, at 202-476-3066. Please contact either to share questions or concerns, to learn more about a research subjects’ rights, or to offer input on how research processes can work better.
