Education
Advances in pediatric health care require healthcare professionals to stay up-to-date on the latest treatments, techniques, and technologies related to children's health.
Education is a key component of Children's National Medical Center's organizational mission. The hospital sponsors and coordinates medical education programs and courses to help healthcare professionals enhance their skills and achieve success. Children's Research Institute also provides educational resources to support that mission and assist medical professionals to conduct translational research as part of their effort to transform children’s health every day.
Children's offers graduate medical education including:
Our training programs are supported by a committed group of faculty educators and access to cutting-edge research breakthroughs. Research at Children's includes one of the few National Institute of Health-funded Pediatric General Clinical Research Centers in the nation. Children’s Research Institute is also one of only six Child Health Research Centers supporting the development of pediatrician-scientists funded by the NIH.
Children’s Research Institute’s Office of Academic Affairs and Services (OAS) offers an online web portal, the Academic Services Assistance Program (ASAP), that provides users exclusive access to academic training calendars, programmatic information, and a complete directory of services available to researchers.
